Purpose of the Job

Lead category Event management and execution to deliver on the Sponsorships, events strategy and operational plan based on brand priorities. By creating aspirational and memorable consumer experiences. The Events Executive is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events and activations that showcase and promote the company's products, drive brand awareness, generate sales, and build customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyse:
    1. Work closely with the marketing team to develop event and promotional activations that align with brand goals and objectives.
    2. Manage event budgets and ensure that events are executed in a cost-effective manner.
    3. Evaluate the effectiveness of events and promotions based on formalised KPI Matrix.
    4. Manage event evaluation and pre/post event evaluation analysis.
    5. Make recommendations for the improvement based on pre/post event evaluation analysis.
  2. Develop:
    1. Develop and prepare annual event calendar liaising with relevant brand teams and regions.
    2. Planning and managing execution of events and sponsorships from conception through to staging.
    3. Ensure that the event and sponsorship rights are delivered against set brand objectives.
    4. Manage and develop Event & Sponsorship contracts.
  3. Planning:
    1. Planning to be done aligned to standardised Heineken Beverages ways of working and process.
    2. Planning and arranging of POS, ROI and staff needed for events.
    3. Planning and co-ordination of all infrastructure including cold space (fridges).
    4. Planning and co-ordinating of Promotional Liquor orders for events.
  4. Execute:
    1. Execute events according to detailed execution plan.
    2. Manage event related assets optimally by limiting theft, damage, losses at events ensuring minimal loss to events assets.
    3. Liaise with various role-players; attend events for set-up/strike-off and facilitate the smooth execution of the event.
    4. Ensure that all events and promotions comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  5. Champion Capability:
    1. Build strong relationships within team, broader business, and external stakeholders.
    2. Lead personal development and career development.
    3. Upskill colleagues through imparting knowledge and empowering them.
    4. Present and conceptualise creative event ideas and opportunities.
    5. Develop continuous improvements/best operating practices on eventing.
    6. Formulate and communicate relevant and meaningful insights for the brand and channel teams.
    7. Continuously benchmark eventing practices against best in class and competitors.

Job Requirements

  1. 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, event planning, or a related field.
  2. 2. Experience:
    1. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in event planning and promotion.
    2. Relevant experience within the Alcoholic Beverage or broader FMCG industry with clear eventing and consumer demand creation experience is preferable.
    3. Strong knowledge of the alcoholic beverages industry and the associated regulations.
    4. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events and promotions.
    5. Excellent project management skills.
    6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    8. Ability to plan, organize, and execute events and promotions.
    9. Ability to work in a team.
