The Position
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is looking for Event Ticketing Operations Staff to join the dynamic team at Portland International Raceway!
The Positions
Ticketing Lead: $19.00-$23.00/ Hourly; Dependent on Experience
• This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours range 10-25 hours/week.
In addition to the duties listed below, this position may perform all duties outlined in the Ticket Seller description, at the direction of Raceway management.
Duties:
- Supervisor responsibilities: Including but not limited to – Creating schedules and task assignments for ticket sellers
- Basic accounting tasks: Including but not limited to – Cash handling, completing cash tally forms, and providing updated sales information to event management upon request
- Basic payroll tasks: Including but not limited to – Recording daily staff payroll hours
- Point of sale reconciliation tasks: Including, but not limited to – Reconciling end of event sales, assisting with deposit reconciliation
- Other duties as assigned
- Ticketing Lead would also perform the Ticketing Seller duties for breaks/lunches and as needed for back up assistance.
Ticketing Seller: $16.85-$19.00/Hourly; Dependent on Experience
• This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours range from 5-15 hours/week.
At the direction of the Ticketing Lead, the Ticketing Seller conducts sales of entry tickets and race tech cards to Portland International Raceway (PIR) events. Sales can take place from booths or on foot at multiple locations. Tickets may be in the form of roll/hard tickets or via handheld computer units with accompanying ticket printers. Sales must be conducted in an efficient, accurate, and friendly manner.
Duties:
- Scanning pre-purchased tickets
- Other duties as assigned by the Ticketing Lead
Start Date: Late April/Early May (Subject to change)
Location: Fully in-person. This position will report to Portland International Raceway (1940 N Victory Blvd, Portland, OR 97217)
These are Community Service Aide (CSA II) positions with a maximum of 1,400 hours in a calendar year. These positions are not eligible for benefits.

To Qualify
For the Ticketing Lead position –
- Previous supervisor experience in customer service
- Minimum of two years of basic accounting experience, including cash handling and cashiering experience.
- Knowledge of basic customer service practices
- Must be able to work independently
For the Ticketing Seller position –
- Experience with cash handling and cashiering
- Knowledge of basic customer service practices
