Event Manager Woodstock

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Brand Ambassador to the Company
2. Maintain & improve on brand perception when called upon to do so in both private & professional capacity
3. Interact with the company's social media presence as often as required, including reshares & post likes
4. Answer all phone calls with the standard company greeting (landline & mobile)
5. Do your best to improve on your colleague's reputation in the industry
6. Report any helpful or harmful knowledge relating to the company, directly to the GM as quickly as possible
7. Always dress appropriately for impromptu client meetings
8. Always act in the best interest of the company & never deviate from their core values & brand principles
9. Take ownership & accountability for tasks, roles & responsibilities assigned to you
10. Manage team project workflow, productivity & deadlines
11. Upskill your teams, including but not limited to company colleagues, suppliers and partners where applicable & possible
12. Account Management
13. Provide meaningful & insightful reports to the Experiences manager when called upon to do so
14. Spearhead any internal or philanthropic events handed to you with the intention to achieve max ROI
15. Positively contribute towards the communications in the account management-to-event process
16. Actively contribute towards the company hitlist and pipeline with appropriate strategy
17. Pair well with all / any team members on events / projects
18. Strive to reach the point where you require very little help from the team
19. Conduct regular site visits & planner meetings to ensure a smooth event and expectations
20. Use mediums available to attract new sales to hand over to the Experiences manager
21. Providing meaningful feedback to the sales lead after every event / project
22. Positively assist planning teams to best reach event success in every client touchpoint
23. Visit events on a regular basis to ensure standard of execution is achieved
24. Constantly upskill yourself with the intention of becoming the best in your field
25. Continue to nurture, maintain & grow your current client profiles & accounts
26. Be available to collaborate with any team member on an event, if called upon to do so
27. Maintaining the scheduled minimum margins required on projects and events unless specific approval given
28. Maintain & nurture your client list, including frequent client check in's, coffee meetings and emails
29. Contribute to & assist other team members with their Client Accounts where necessary
30. Actively try to grow your account portfolio
31. Constantly seek opportunities for cross-selling within key account clients, additional departments / locations
32. Always be well prepared for internal and external meetings

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Proven experience as event manager
2. Skilled in project management
3. Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
4. Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
5. Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
6. Excellent organizational skills
7. A knack for problem-solving
8. Customer-service orientation
9. A team player with leadership skills
10. BSc / BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is advantageous but not required
