Job Purpose

We are looking for an Estates Administrator (6 months contract) to assist the estate administrator by supporting the administration process of an estate and doing office administration in order to enable the achievement of financial targets as per business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders by providing the necessary information.
  2. Complete documentation required for the estate administration to clients' needs.
  3. Meet turn-around times by building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders through sharing information and giving and receiving feedback.
  4. Complete allocated tasks by prioritizing tasks and adhering to set timeframes.
  5. Utilise resources within target levels by limiting stationary use and personal telephone/internet use.
  6. Complete daily tasks by complying with policies, processes, and relevant legislation.
  7. Mitigate risk by reporting deviations from policies, procedures, and standards.
  8. Manage work obstacles by seeking solutions, taking corrective action, and escalating when required.
  9. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc.).
  10. Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
  11. Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes by recommending improvements to tools, policies, and procedures to add value to Nedbank.
  12. Add value to Nedbank by identifying opportunities to improve or enhance processes.
  13. Contribute towards the achievement of financial targets by delivering tasks within the set turn-around times.
  14. Limit office errors by complying with legislative requirements and instructions.
  15. Reduce rework by completing work according to standards and instructions.
  16. Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impact on role by reading relevant newsletters, websites, and attending sessions.
  17. Understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by demonstrating the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
  18. Ensure that own contribution and participation contribute to the achievement of team goals.
  19. Create and manage own career through guidance and support of management, department, and colleagues.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or an equivalent qualification

Essential Certifications

  • Fiduciary Institute of South Africa (FISA)

Minimum Experience Level

1-2 years' experience in Financial and or Asset Management Industry
