Job Profile Summary
ERM is looking for a passionate and motivated Managing Technical Consultant to join our rapidly growing Capital Project Delivery Team. The position will be based in any of ERM’s offices located in South Africa, Mozambique (Maputo), Tanzania (Dar Es Salaam) or Kenya (Nairobi). The role is an exciting opportunity to help deliver a range of critical capital projects across Africa for our global clients.
As part of the continued growth of our services, ERM is looking for applicants who have experience delivering Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) projects internationally throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The applicant would require an in-depth understanding of, and experience in the application of lenders’ E&S requirements - including the IFC Performance Standards and the Equator Principles as a minimum. In addition to ESIA services, the consultant should have experience in performing ESIA gap assessments and lenders E&S due diligence assessments.
Subject to meeting the above requirements, preference may be given to applicants with experience in projects in the offshore environment (subsea cables, offshore oil & gas, marine ports, and offshore wind); mining, and/or large-scale infrastructure (roads, rail dams etc.).
