Purpose:
A healthcare administration company is seeking a Senior Specialist: Enterprise Architect who will be responsible to design, implement, and manage the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals; must lead efforts to design healthcare-focused technology solutions that drive operational efficiency, scalable, secure and drive customer-centricity.

Continuous improvement
- Ensure organisational systems operate effectively and consistently (within system Service Level Agreements).
- Design systems architecture to facilitate effective and sustainable implementation of systems solutions.
- Oversee implementation of systems solutions to ensure solution delivered meets customer needs and expectations.
- Implement practical solutions that use the specialist and departmental systems and processes.
- Provide specialist input and recommendations to improve the efficiency, compliance and quality objectives related to the area of specialisation.
- Identify problems and develop and propose solutions to present to appropriate leader or stakeholders.
- Ensure day to day operational support required from area of specialisation is provided to enhance performance.
Cost containment
- Support the identification, development and implementation of cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers related to area of specialisation.

- Maintain a high level of impact on other departments to support improved delivery.
- Continually increase understanding of client and stakeholder needs, satisfaction and service delivery.
Knowledge management
- Ensure that adequate knowledge regarding specialisation is shared as required and maintained within the research library.
- Provide advice and / or training as required.
- Maintain, develop and implement specialist knowledge within the day to day operations of the organisation.
Maintain expertise level
- Be a member of related professional bodies.
- Ensure CPD (continual professional development) or similar accreditation requirements are met annually to ensure maintained specialist accreditation.

Specialist support to projects
- Provide specialist expertise and ensure best practice related to specialisation is implemented in projects, when required.

Architecture development
- Assist in creating and maintaining architecture models using tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect (Sparx EA).
- Support the development of architecture blueprints and roadmaps across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Collaborate with senior architects to analyse and document current and target states for systems and processes.
- Collect and document requirements from business and IT stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation of existing systems and recommend improvements or replacements.
- Prepare architecture-related documentation, including solution designs, process models and compliance reports.
Compliance and risk management
- Enforce architecture governance processes and standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Stakeholder engagement
- Work with project teams to ensure solutions align with architectural standards and goals.
- Participate in workshops and meetings to gather input and present findings.
- Support cross-functional teams in aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
Innovation and leadership
- Drive innovation by recommending modern, cost-effective solutions in cloud, AI, and data analytics tailored for healthcare.
- Provide mentorship to junior architects and IT staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the architecture team.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, especially those relevant to cloud migration, customer engagement, and healthcare IT.
- Timely delivery of architecture frameworks and roadmaps.
- Contribute to achieving the EA team’s KPIs.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
- Present proposals and provide expert recommendations as part of the architecture governance process.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s advantageous).
- Certifications: TOGAF.
Experience:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in IT, including exposure to architecture, business analysis, or software development.
- Proven track record working on architecture development and reviews as well as large-IT projects.
- Previous experience working with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) is an advantage.
