St Alban’s College, one of South Africa’s leading independent boys’ high schools, seeks to employ a talented and experienced English Teacher.

Our school is looking for a highly motivated and skilled English Teacher to teach and inspire our students to become effective communicators and critical thinkers. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge our students.

Criteria:

• Degree in English or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification.
• SACE registered.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding results.
• Experience teaching English at a senior level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• The use and integration of technology into the classroom is an essential criterion.
• Competence in terms of computer literacy – especially Google docs, sheets, and classroom.
• Ability to contribute to the extra-curricular program within the school would be an advantage.
• Willingness to become involved in the life of the school.
• Be a committed, dynamic educationalist, with an innovative use of technology to enhance learning and have a practical approach to the subject.
• IEB Marking experience will be an advantage.
