- This function will be applicable during the total project scope from inception to hand over.
Minimum Requirements- A Bachelor's or B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience in:
- Project management within a property-related environment;
- Developing concept designs and estimating costs for relevant engineering systems;
- Preparing reports and documentation related to project activities;
- Writing technical specifications;
- Reading and reviewing drawings/plans;
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software;
- Conducting site inspections and evaluating contractors' work;
- Ensuring project execution conforms to design specifications and applicable codes;
- Setting up and maintaining project files and records;
- Overseeing project handovers and ensuring compliance with the OHS Act and SANS codes;
- ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist;
- A valid driver’s License.

- Communication skills to bring across a message in a logical and effective manner;
- The ability to use the communication medium (written and verbal) in order to transfer complex concepts (technical and non-technical) without ambiguity at all levels;
- The ability to identify and solve high priority problems in crisis situations;
- Knowledge to understand the methods of investigating, analyzing, compiling, organizing information and presenting it in an easily understandable manner to customers and/or role players.
Added Advantages And Preferences- Implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements in the built environment for two years, including experience working at heights and in confined spaces.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
