Engineering Manager (GCC) required in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field
Government Certificate of Competence – Government Ticket (GCC) essential
Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a Union environment
Demonstrated experience in leading large capital investment projects
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, civil, IT and automation
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Collaborative style and ability to influence
Strong communication skills (written and oral) at all levels of the organization
Strong financial and business acumen
Fluent in English
Key Performance Areas:
Manage, coordinate and direct all activities of the Engineering Department in the plant within the strategic vision of the Business Plan of the Company
Responsible for the Environmental Management System of the Factory, delegating the same for Environmental Coordinator (ISO 14001, TS 16949, OSHAS 18000)
Manage resources, provide technical support, and seek customer satisfaction in an environment of total quality
Establish and ensure compliance with the strategic objectives of the organization related to KPI indicators of cost engineering, energy, stock inventories, capital expenditures, maintenance, and environment
Support the organization in reaching goals established in the areas of safety, quality, cost, production, standards certification, policy compliance, and internal and external customer satisfaction
Participate in the elaboration of the strategic plan of the factory, development of the Engineering and Technology department, transfer technologies applied locally (good practices), research and develop new engineering solutions, and provide technical contributions to community development, government, and education
