As our Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be supporting projects in multiple industries. These can include automotive, manufacturing, hydrology, energy technology, and oil & gas. You will play an integral part, ensuring products are at the leading edge of technology for our customers.

As an Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. High quality embedded C code using finite state machines to deliver quality products.
2. Investigating problems, debugging across hardware and firmware.
3. Leveraging expertise to resolve technical issues.
4. Providing legacy product support, resolving issues, adding enhancements, and verification through extensive testing.
5. Remaining current with new technologies, trends, and methodologies which are shared among the team in weekly best practices meetings.
6. Bringing creative ideas and continuous improvement to the development process.
7. Contributing to continuous integration & Hardware-in-the-loop testing while developing features.
8. Maintaining low power code by thoroughly testing new features' impact on battery life.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

1. Have 3 – 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
2. Have an Engineering Degree from an accredited University.
3. Have C programming experience and proven implementation experience.
4. Have an understanding of low power ARM processors and peripherals including I2C, SPI, and DMA.
5. Need an understanding of electronic hardware including reading of schematics.
6. Write unit tests for features you are developing.
7. Be willing to use Python for hardware in the loop test code.
8. Collaborate with global engineering teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common platforms.
9. Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and with others to ensure the rapid and coordinated development of new products and features.
