Electronic Technician

COMPANY DESCRIPTION : Our client is an electronic communications manufacturer and supplier based in Edenvale and they are looking for an Electronic Technician to join their team as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Fault finds on all PCBs
2. Repair electronic circuits
3. Be able to do PC board repairs up to component level
4. Read and interpret schematic diagrams
5. Read and interpret test equipment results primarily a multimeter and oscilloscopes
6. Beneficial to have RF and GSM equipment knowledge

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

1. Matric
2. Minimum N6 or equivalent / National Diploma or B Tech in Electronics

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

1. Minimum 2 years' experience.
2. Experience as an Electronic Technician in electronic repairs down to component level
3. Background in PCB fault finding, repairs and testing
4. Able to read and interpret Schematics / PCB documents / circuit diagrams
5. Electronic assembly
6. Experience in fast moving production of PCBs will be advantageous
7. Target and deadline driven
8. Ability to work under pressure
9. Ability to work independently
