MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide electrical services and perform maintenance, repairs and replacements on all electrical systems, infrastructure and equipment to locality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Perform Technical jobs within Locality.
2. Perform administration duties within the Technical function.
3. Identify and mitigate Technical risks within the Locality.
4. Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the Locality.
5. Maintain client and stakeholder relations within Technical function.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential: Qualified Electrician with N4 (Red Seal Certification) and wireman's licence or Qualified Electrician with N6 and trade test (Red Seal Certification).

Desired: Wireman's licence.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential: A minimum of 1 - 2 years Electrical experience within a Hospital environment.

Desired: A minimum of 8 years Electrical experience of which 3 years is MCL.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Electrical regulations and guides.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
• Alarm Panels, IT Networks & Communication Systems.
• Heating and air conditioning systems.
• Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Transformers and circuit breakers.
• Autoclave.
• Test equipment and devices.
