Electrical Instrumentation Technician

Our client is the leading supplier of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) solutions in southern Africa and they are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Isando, Johannesburg.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum NQF Level 3).
• Three-phase Wireman's license.
• Experience with control systems: PLCs, VFDs, etc.
• More than 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel within South Africa and Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, maintain & repair electrical and automation systems for greenhouse projects.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Commission, calibrate and test new systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all work performed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, safety standards and company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
