Electrical Estimation & Design Engineer (ECSA) Full Time Job
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer with ECSA accreditation to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including lighting, power systems, low current systems, solar design, and contracting.
They will also be responsible for tendering for electrical works and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Designing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects, including lighting, power systems, low current systems, solar design, and contracting
Overseeing the implementation of electrical systems, including supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Tendering for electrical works, including preparing bids and proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets
Providing technical support and advice to other departments and clients
Conducting research and staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the field of electrical engineering
Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop innovative solutions and improve existing systems
Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure that electrical systems are operating efficiently and safely
Providing training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Budgeting and financial control
Creation of Operation and Maintenance manuals.
Obtaining and processing equipment submission, obtain approval from consultants.
Submission of construction drawings to consultants for approval.
Reporting to the Director/Management on engineering activities.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all electrical systems meet safety and regulatory requirements, with a focus on minimizing risks to people and property.
Technical Excellence: Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in all areas of electrical engineering, with a focus on staying up to date with the latest developments in the field and maintaining a high level of technical competence.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of electrical projects, with a focus on promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
Cost Management: Ensure that electrical projects are delivered within budget, with a focus on identifying and mitigating cost overruns and optimizing costs without compromising quality.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customers are satisfied with the quality of electrical work, with a focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Innovation: Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex electrical challenges, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer value.
Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to junior engineers and technicians, with a focus on promoting continuous learning and professional growth.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
ECSA accreditation is essential
Proven experience in electrical design, contracting, and solar design for commercial and industrial systems and smaller systems (On Grid, Off Grid, Hybrid)
Sound knowledge of electrical regulations, standards, and codes
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
Willingness to travel to different sites and work flexible hours as required
Understanding and knowledge of HVAC in a construction environment.
