We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our client’s team in Durbanville. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry and a commitment to ensuring the safety of all employees on site.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices
Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities and incidents
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address health and safety concerns on construction sites
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred
