Investment Accountant

One of our clients who operates in the investments sector is looking for an Accountant within their Post Investment Monitoring team. You would need strong communication skills, excellent knowledge of accounting principles, and solid reconciliation experience. Responsibilities:

1. Reconciliation of assets and liabilities: reconciliation of accounting and loan system to ensure assets and liabilities match.
2. Covenant tracking: design a system to track covenants on loans made including (amongst others), identification of covenant requirements, monthly reporting on status of covenants, preparation of quarterly covenant reporting pack to Investment Committee.
3. Investor administration: review FICA documentation obtained for new investors, assist with investor administration requirements, processing transactions in the loan administration system (contributions, surrenders, broker commissions, adjustments).
4. Loan administration: assist with borrower queries/reconciliations on an ad hoc basis.
5. Accounting / management accounting: balance sheet reconciliations, processing of journal entries.
