Senior Interior Designer

Salary: R25000 CTC to R32 000 CTC Location: Sandton

Description:

Senior Interior Designer Responsibilities:

• This person should be able to collaborate seamlessly with clients, as well as other designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects.
• Liaise with clients and third parties directly, including on-site visits/management.
• Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, visual research, furniture sourcing, in addition to maintaining budgets and project timelines.
• Prepare and develop presentation, drawings, models, mood boards, and other concept material.
• Creating project documentation including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, schedules, and construction administration and consultant coordination.
• Keep abreast of design trends.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Senior Interior Designer Requirements:

• Five or more years of experience in interior design and a degree from an accredited school.
• Experience of Renovation, Refurbishment, and Restoration projects.
• Experience in interior architectural design is advantageous as well as extensive decorating experience.
• Exceptional presentation skills.
• Passion for design and an eye for detail.
• Knowledge of the full design process including concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, procurement, and installation is preferred.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Revit, SketchUp, 20/20, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the company.
