Global generics company requires a Brand Manager with a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Consumer health experience is essential. This is a remote position.
We are seeking a results-oriented marketeer to drive the execution of brand strategies and marketing initiatives for our OTC pharmaceutical products.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a passion for consumers to accelerate brand growth and market share.
As a Brand Manager / Marketing Activator, you will be instrumental in crafting and implementing innovative campaigns that vividly convey our brand’s message and ethos to our target demographic & HCPs.
Brand Activation:
- Develop and implement insight-driven, cutting-edge brand activation campaigns in line with our marketing strategy and brand ethos, OTIF.
- Develop across multiple channels, including digital, social media, point of sale, and traditional advertising, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Responsible for communication deployment, precision marketing assets and adaptations of the principal’s global / regional playbooks.
- Transform brand ideas and visual into promotional materials across multiple brands / channels & markets.
- Balance between strategy and execution – identify key risk areas / products with action plans and implementation thereof.
- Motivational management of agencies and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate across functions to create unified and impactful brand experiences.
- Manage event planning, sponsorships, and promotions, ensuring on-time and budgetary compliance.
- Project manage the process from start to end in collaboration with the creative agency and other external vendors to ensure smooth production and distribution of point sales material.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
Campaign Readiness & Management:
- Timeously lead the planning, execution, optimization & delivery of marketing campaigns, leveraging consumer insights and market trends to maximize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Work with Sales & Trade Managers, HCP Engagement Lead to ensure all parameters are met on sales force tactical objectives, plans, budget setting and achievement.
- Engage key customers, as needed for campaign execution, to ensure high level of service delivery.
- Support Key Accounts and sales head to attain set objectives (sales ambition and spend budgets).
- Track and monitor OTC promo grids across for optimal ROI.
- Track and monitor HCP campaigns for optimal ROI.
Market Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct market analysis, store visits and competitor tracking to assess material effectiveness and identify sales opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive threats, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of NPD developments in their categories.
Budget Management:
- Input into Annual marketing / business plan. Responsible for deployment of plan On Time in Full, within budget, according to all KPI’s, with specific focus on Non-Working Media.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, monitoring expenditures (accurate recons, and media PO tracking) and optimizing resources to achieve business objectives within budgetary constraints.
Performance Tracking:
- Track and report on the effectiveness of brand activation initiatives, leveraging data to shape future strategies.
- Monthly Risk & Opportunities Analysis.
Brand Compliance:
- Ensure brand messaging and promotional activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
New Product Launches:
- Support the successful launch of new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams on product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on marketing activities, performance metrics, and market trends, communicating insights and recommendations effectively.
- Responsible for the briefing and project mgmt. of creative, media, influencer, PR, Activation & Customer Service agencies – as required by the business.
- Responsible for management of and forming relationship with the regional sales teams.
- Cultivate partnerships with external entities to broaden brand reach and impact.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or equivalent qualification in related field.
- 2 - 3 years proven experience in brand management, marketing activation, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully executing marketing campaigns and driving brand growth.
- Strong and entrenched business relationships with key consumer and OTC customers.
- Experience with RX / scripted products will secure.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive briefings to internal and external creative agencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Consumer Insight: Deep insights into customer dynamics – with specific reference to Consumer segment.
Digital & AI: Deep understanding of digital promotional platforms and proven track record of implementing digital strategies which drive value in the consumer, OTC & HCP segment.
Strong understanding of new AI technologies to increase the speed of brand development and execution strategies.
Operational Execution: Strong operational capabilities in coordinating multiple agencies, partners and vendors to drive idea to execution on-time-in-full.
Team Player: Demonstrated cross functional and collaboration skills at executive level.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
