An Advertising agency is on the lookout for a talented digital-orientated and social-focussed designer with 2D animation and video-editing skills to join our busy agency in Johannesburg where you will get an opportunity to do excellent work for large and well-known national and international brands.

Requirements

• Digital agency experience and/or qualification with a strong digital foundation
• Between three and five years' experience designing for social media and various digital channels including YouTube, Paid Media (GDN), and websites
• Mac literate with excellent Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator skills
• Basic HTML skills and/or Google Studio experience (nice to have)
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Online portfolio showcasing Social Media, Digital, and 2D animation pieces

The right person for the role must:

• have meticulous attention to detail
• have the experience to conceptualise, develop and implement creative digital design across various different channels, including (but not limited to) Social and Paid Media, Web, and CRM
• have excellent knowledge regarding best practice, technical limitations, and restrictions of the various channels, including compression and format
• have 2D animation experience - the ability to bring static marketing material to life on Social and Paid Media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google Display Networks
• have the courage to push creativity within a set brand CI, take creative risks and not be scared to try something new to create work that stands out
• be able to take responsibility and ownership of projects and tasks
• be a self-starter and should not be deterred by problems and instead offer solutions for design challenges
• have some basic understanding of online marketing, and at least know what the goal is of Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion within an online marketing context
• have a good understanding of typography and messaging hierarchy
