MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To present and facilitate Higher Education and Training programmes and courses to Mediclinic students and employees in order to acquire competence (incl. cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills) as independent healthcare practitioners on completion of training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Ensure compliance to Higher Education & Training and American Heart Association (AHA) standards
2. Design and assess learning material and interventions
3. Facilitate learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation
4. Coordinate and administrate student-related processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

• SANC registered postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing
• SANC registered postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education (or in progress or willing to commence as soon as possible)
• Diploma / Degree in Nursing
• Master's Degree in Nursing (or in progress or willing to commence as soon as possible)

DESIRED EDUCATION:

• PhD in Nursing
• Postgraduate qualification in Health Service Management / Nursing Administration will serve as a recommendation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• 2-3 years experience as a scrub practitioner

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years' experience as a scrub practitioner
• Higher Education and Training (HET) experience
