GRADES 7 – 12

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the above post to commence in January or negotiable as may be required.

Selection Criteria Includes:

1. A relevant teaching qualification from a recognised institution.
2. In-depth teaching experience, which includes enquiry-based learning.
3. Detailed understanding of the IEB syllabus and assessment frameworks to a matric level.
4. An excellent all-round knowledge of Physical Science.
5. A proven record of innovation, commitment, and professionalism to the teaching profession and the teaching of the subject.
6. The willingness to embrace rapid changes in education.
7. An interest in integrating ICT into your teaching and learning as Brescia House School is a Microsoft Showcase School.
8. Proof of registration with SACE.

Job Responsibilities Include:

1. Being an active and innovative member of the teaching body of the High School.
2. Teaching Physical and Natural Science from Grade 7 to Grade 12 learners.
3. Participation in co-curricular activities and events across the High School.
4. The availability to attend conferences, organise workshops and meetings.
5. Developing a passion for Physical Science among learners at every opportunity.
6. Organising field trips, tours and accompanying groups.
7. Demonstrating full awareness of developments in Physical Science, regarding both subject matter and curriculum development.
8. Effective leadership and management of the team and department, with overall responsibility for the administration of the subject.

Members of staff are expected to uphold and promote the Ursuline ethos of the school and will be required to have a sexual clearance certificate.
