Project Safety Officer (3-6 month contract) (Food manufacturing)

Job Title: Safety Officer

Seeking an experienced Safety Officer to work for a well-known food manufacturer to travel between Delmas and Springs sites. This is a project of 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

1. Implement systems
2. Act as Trusted Advisor (use of machines, spillages, noise, security)
3. Emergency response drills
4. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
5. Lead monthly safety meetings
6. Issue permits to work
7. Awareness training
8. Toolbox talks

Must have:

1. Grade 12
2. National diploma - safety management / NEBOSH or relevant
3. SAMTRAC certificate / Incident investigation / permit to work / risk assessment / fall protection plan / construction regulations / COIDA / OHSACT
4. Minimum of 3 years' experience in safety
5. Semi factory environment knowledge and Construction, health, risk security knowledge
6. Excellent English communication
7. Able to work independently
