THE OPPORTUNITY

IIE Varsity College and IIE MSA are looking for qualified academics to lecture on the Bachelor of Sport Coaching programme.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

Minimum Qualification:

1. The minimum requirement for an academic who would lecture specialised sport coaching, sport science, sport management, sport psychology and/or sport sociology modules on the Bachelor of Sport Coaching is: A Sport Management-based Bachelor of Honours degree with a focus on sport coaching, sport science, sport management, sport psychology and/or sport sociology, or a Bachelor of Human Movement Science Honours in Coaching Science, or a Bachelor of Science Honours in Sport Science.

Work Experience

1. A minimum of two-year lecturing experience in sport science, sport management, sport psychology, sport sociology, ethical and legal aspects and/or interpersonal communication would be advantageous.
2. Work experience in sport management; development of athletes; sports coaching; work within sports academies; and/or school sport.
