Warehouse Assistant - Wellington

Overview

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for inspecting all incoming deliveries, loading and unloading trucks, inventory control, packing and shipping customer orders in an accurate and timely manner, and executing daily housekeeping. A valid Code 10 driver’s license and a valid forklift license are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Receive, palletize, and verify the accuracy of incoming materials.
• Load and unload trucks, order pick, wrap products, and pack.
• Stage products according to the picking list for dispatch.
• Sort and place products in the warehouse according to FIFO.
• Mark materials with identifying and status information.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory.
• Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Assist with stock take.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Supply chain qualification is an added advantage.
• Certified to operate forklifts.
• Valid Code 10 and PDP driver's license.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of warehouse standards and procedures.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to express clearly in English.
• Ability to analyze and solve basic stock and warehouse problems.
