Import Manager

Minimum requirements :

1. Matric
2. Tertiary Freight qualification
3. Shipshape or similar knowledge
4. Knowledge of Incoterms
5. 4 years and more industry experience in operations
6. Managing the operations depts- Forwarding, Registration, Entries, Releases, Transport, NVOCC and Warehouse
7. Managing operational systems and controls
8. Assist in negotiating rates with transporters
9. Assist in management of Invoicing and Estimates dept when needed
10. Quality checks on shipping files- Invoicing and endorsements
11. Management of the operational systems, IT and processes
12. Conduct regular internal quality checks with staff
13. Oversee shipment tracking systems and deliver timely reports on logistics performance and departmental activities, including setting up new users and maintaining existing ones
14. Train staff on logistics software and offer continuous system support
15. Manage communication and updates remarks providing real time updates between suppliers, transporters, and customs
