MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To deliver safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice of an Enrolled Nurse in the Operating Theatre.

Knowledge and experience with the Da Vinci Robot will be advantageous.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific speciality area

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit

Knowledge and experience of the Da Vinci robot will be advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
2. Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
3. Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
4. Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
5. Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
6. Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
