Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:
    1. Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate and manage SHEQ matters.
    2. Ensure adherence to SHEQ policies and procedures.
    3. Compliance to FMT SHEQ requirements, statutory regulations, and adherence to legislation.
  2. Customers:
    1. Ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Business Processes:
    1. Execute work orders, create notifications, and provide feedback on SAP.
    2. Conduct regular plant inspections, identify, and rectify inefficiencies.
    3. Maintain instrumentation documentation including drawings.
    4. Maintain and repair all levels of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical parts, components, and equipment.
    5. Communicate if spares, equipment, or other factors were not available for job on the work order to the Maintenance Supervisor.
    6. Work from heights and in confined spaces and follow the various procedures related to such.
    7. Perform general housekeeping as part of the relevant tasks allocated.
    8. Maintenance and repairs on gas, water, compressed air monitoring, and reticulation systems.
  4. Rotable Management:
    1. Change out item.
    2. Create PM order detailing item to be drawn from stock.
    3. Create reservation for rotable on PM order.
    4. Create subsequent notification.
    5. Complete all fields on the “Damage” tag on the return item to rotable store.
    6. Physically transport damaged rotable to lay down area.
  5. Mobile Equipment:
    1. Lift and move loads by means of a forklift.
    2. Handle loads by means of an overhead crane, hoist, and/or lifting tackle and/or machinery.
    3. Operate aerial/boom/cherry picker.

    1. Fault finding and repairs to C&I equipment.
    2. Drawing interpretation.
  2. Knowledge:
    1. SAP knowledge.
    2. PLC’s.
    3. Understanding of networks, SCADA’s, and related infrastructure.
    4. Fibre optic systems.
    5. Remote I/O.
    6. UPS systems.
