Morae Global, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.

LOCATION: Observatory, Cape Town

TITLE: Billing Clerk with NetSuite and Salesforce experience

LEVEL: Associate

JOB TYPE: Full Time (Hybrid)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Billing Clerk plays a crucial role within the organization, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and billing processes. As a vital member of the finance team, the Billing Clerk contributes to the organization’s financial health by maintaining meticulous records and facilitating smooth transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and promptly.
  2. Approve Project opportunities in Salesforce and ensure the project is set up correctly in NetSuite.
  3. Maintain detailed records of invoices, payments, and billing-related transactions.
  4. Address customer inquiries and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate with collections agencies as needed.
  6. Ensure billing systems are up-to-date and accurate, making any necessary adjustments or corrections.
  7. Work with US Project Manager to ensure that time is entered correctly and in a timely manner.
  8. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth billing processes.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to billing processes.
  11. Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  2. Proven experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable roles.
  3. Expertise with NetSuite, Salesforce, and accounting systems.
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  8. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  10. Must be flexible to work US hours.
