We are seeking a Finance Clerk : Accounts Payable & Asset Management for a 12 month fixed term contract role based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• A relevant 3-year Diploma in Financial Management or bachelor’s degree in accounting field (minimum NQF Level 6) or related qualification at the same level.
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a Finance office environment.
• Knowledge of PFMA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts payable and asset management.
• Knowledge of GRAP.
• Organization and administration skills, planning and scheduling skills.

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Accounts Payables:

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
• Capturing supplier invoices on accounting system.
• Performing supplies reconciliation on a weekly basis.
• Loading of supplies payments, staff claims and verifiers on banking system.
• Attending to supplies queries.
• Maintain filing of financial transactions.
• Attend to internal and external auditors' requests within prescribed timeframe.

Asset Management:

• Maintaining asset register which includes disposal, additions, and depreciation.
• Liaising with the insurance administrator to ensure that the assets are fully insured.
• Conducting physical assets verification and reassessment of useful lives.
• Responsible for barcoding of assets.

Salary: R216 417.00 per annum + benefits.
