A leading commercial truck dealership in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a skilled and motivated DEALERSHIP WORKSHOP FOREMAN (SUPERVISOR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be diesel trade tested, have previous industry experience, and thrive in a dealership workshop environment. Holding a Code 14 licence will be a distinct advantage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the workshop.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics and technicians.
- Ensure that all repair and maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Allocate jobs to workshop staff based on their skills and workload.
- Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and parts used.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on work progress and address any concerns.
- Train and mentor workshop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Diesel trade tested with a valid certification.
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the commercial truck industry.
- Previous experience in a dealership workshop environment is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and commercial truck systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and workshop management software.
- Valid Code 14 licence is an advantage.
