COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a leading South African meat wholesaler supplying meat and other food products to sectors of the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industries. They are looking for a Merchandiser to join their Cape Town team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel within customer companies
• Conducting business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services
• Alerting the sales team to opportunities for further sales within key clients
• Letting customers know about other products the company offers
• Attending meetings with clients to build relationships with existing accounts
• Achieving client relationship targets and KPIs as set by the Commercial Director
• Working closely with Sales Representatives
• Escalating and resolving areas of concern as raised by clients
• Carrying out client satisfaction surveys and reviews
• Monitoring company performance against service level agreements and flagging potential issues
• Updating the Operations Manager/Commercial Director and ensuring sales representatives are aware of changes within clients
• Passing leads to the sales team and following up on progress
• Performing any other reasonable tasks as instructed and requested by the Operations Manager/Commercial Director

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• Marketing and sales qualification

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 2 – 5 Years’ marketing and sales experience
• Strong marketing and sales skills
• Computer literate
• Valid driver’s license + own transport (non-negotiable)
