Radio Retail For Spar - Account Executive

JOB TITLE : HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

LOCATION : Delphius Commercial (Midrand)

POSITION SUMMARY : Delphius Commercial is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to coordinate health and safety systems within our organization.

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in the telecommunications sector (MUST), demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting a safe and healthy working environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for the following daily activities:

1. Hazard Identification: Identify hazards and assess risks to health and safety within the workplace.
2. Safety Controls: Implement appropriate safety controls and provide advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.
3. Accident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, identify causes, and recommend improvements in safety standards.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation concerning plant, equipment, and workplace activities.
5. Safety Inspections: Regularly inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety regulations.
6. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ensure that personal protective equipment is used correctly across the organization.
7. Training Sessions: Conduct training for management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
8. Emergency Procedures: Coordinate emergency procedures, including fire fighting, first aid, and other safety protocols.
9. Communication: Frequently communicate with management regarding the status of the occupational health and safety program.
10. Policy Development: Develop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures, and manuals.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements: 3-4 years of experience in health and safety roles within telecommunications or manufacturing industries. Relevant safety training certifications (e.g., SHE Q, Safety Representative).

Preferred Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
