Job description

Our Client is currently looking for a Learner Administrator Assistant for their Technical Training Centre in Secunda.


Requirements & Job Description:


Student Enrollment and Registration:

  1. Assisting students with course selection and registration processes.
  2. Verifying student eligibility and documentation for courses.
  3. Managing waitlists and course capacity.

Student Record Management:

  1. Maintaining accurate student records, including academic transcripts, demographics, and contact information.
  2. Updating student data on learning management systems (LMS).
  3. Generating reports on student progress and attendance.

Course Administration:

  1. Creating and distributing course syllabuses and materials.
  2. Managing course schedules and room assignments.
  3. Assisting with online course setup and technical support.

Communication and Support:

  1. Responding to student inquiries regarding course registration, deadlines, and academic policies.
  2. Providing technical support to students using the LMS or other learning platforms.
  3. Communicating important updates and announcements to students.

Data Entry and Reporting:

  1. Entering student data into databases and generating reports on student performance, enrollment trends, and other relevant metrics.
  2. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and participation.

Administrative Tasks:

  1. Managing office supplies and maintaining filing systems related to student records.
  2. Scheduling meetings and appointments for the learning administrator.
  3. Supporting with event planning for student-related activities.

Required Skills:

  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
  4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Customer service skills to interact with students and faculty effectively.

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma required, associate's degree or relevant administrative experience preferred.
  2. Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
  3. Prior experience in an administrative support role within an educational setting is beneficial.
