Locum Research Pharmacist, Western Cape

R70 000 Monthly (For the contract duration)

We are seeking a Locum Research Pharmacist for a contract role based in Fish Hoek, Western Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

1. Grade 12 and qualified & registered pharmacist
2. Must have GCP experience as well as research exposure
3. Available immediately and have clear criminal record and contactable references
4. Based in the Western Cape

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Maintain Pharmacy SOPs and Establishment Plans & Research Site Files
2. Maintain Pharmacy technical appliances – calibrate temperature monitoring devices
3. Maintain restricted access control to pharmacy
4. Investigational Product (IP) Management
5. Maintain adequate stock levels of IP at the site
6. Store IP under correct conditions at the site
7. Label IP prior to dispensing
8. Check prescriptions prior to randomization / dispensing IP
9. Check ICF correctly signed and dated prior to randomizing or dispensing IP
10. Assign participants to IP - randomization
11. Dispense IP as per specific protocol requirements
12. Administer IP (If required)
13. Receive and reconcile IP returns
14. Store IP (used and unused) on site until monitor confirms IP accountability
15. Dispose of used IP as per sponsor requirements
16. Record Management
17. Maintain IP accountability records in accordance with the standards required by the SAPC, SAHPRA and ICH-GCP
18. Maintain prescription records against which IP is dispensed
19. STI and Family Planning Clinic
20. Capture scripts and dispense medicines.
21. Assist with the ordering of stock and preparation of statistics.
22. Participate in monitoring visits and audits as necessary
23. Ensure pharmacy files are inspection ready
24. Attend trainings and sponsor calls
25. Perform all the applicable duties as described in Good Pharmacy Practice

Salary: R70000 per month for the contract duration
