Job description

The overall purpose of this role is to increase Business Internet LTE, Wireless, Wireless Air and Fibre (FTTB & FTTH) sales in line with the Vodacom Business targets. Work closely with Vodacom Franchisees / Dealers / Partners and their staff to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Enable the store staff to action a sale. Guide and assist with the sales process from start to end. This individual will be responsible for managing the relationship between the outlet and client through delivery of results against set objectives. They will be responsible for motivating, training, and assisting all sales staff within the retail outlets. In addition, sales targets can be achieved by the Vodacom Business Specialists (VBS) through direct sales & marketing activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 1-3 years’ experience within sales in Telecommunications and experience with a competing ISP
  2. Diploma/NQF level 5
  3. Valid Drivers License
  4. Problem solving skills
  5. Analytical skills
  6. Computer literacy - MS Office Excel & PowerPoint
  7. Ability to work independently on routine assignments or projects
  8. Communication Skills (verbal & written)

  13. Morning stand-up at 08:00 daily with the RTL to discuss sales targets and sales output
  14. Kitted correctly, uniform and presentable as per guidelines
  15. Train retail sales staff on products/services/systems/processes
  16. Daily, weekly feedback sessions to line management on activity and sales performance
  17. Ensure full Vodacom absolute rules enforced
  18. Align with Regional Manager and Single Point of Contact on strategy
  19. Complete the daily team register, training, and sales to be submitted to the RTL
  20. Capture store visits and sales daily at 15:30 to be submitted to RTL
  21. Submit monthly travel logs to RTL (100% accuracy)
  22. Each VBS carries a minimum target of 20 Business Internet and 10 FTTH – subject to change
  23. Facilitate the order and quotes and fast track the sales orders
  24. Prepare daily feedback to the RTL on Visits and Sales output

Knowledge Needed to Do the Job Competently:

  1. Sales and Marketing Certificate/Diploma
  2. Telecommunications Product Knowledge (Broadband Products, Vodacom Business products)
  3. Training skills
  4. Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  5. Familiarity of VPP(Siebel) desired

Theoretical Knowledge:

  1. Demonstrated skills and proven experience in Telecommunications Broadband sales
  2. Reporting (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  3. Training and Sales Presentations
  4. Sound knowledge of Telecommunications (Broadband Products and Services)
  5. Techno Savvy
  6. Face-to-face SME engagement
  7. Ability to understand and sell different products/packages
  8. Ability to understand and sell value-adding products and services

Previous Work Experience:

  1. Minimum 3 years related sales experience (Telecommunication Broadband sales)
  2. Strong Training skills
  3. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Additional Requirement:

  1. Valid Driver’s license
  2. Must be able to work closely with Regional Partners/Management Team to achieve objectives
  3. All vehicles must comply with local and national regulatory requirements
  4. Vehicles must, at all times, comply with all license and applicable permit requirements
  5. Vehicles must be serviced and maintained as per manufacturers recommendations to ensure these remain fit-for-purpose and kept in safe working order as per local legislation and roadworthy requirements
  6. All inspection and service records must be maintained as per local legal administrative requirements
