Field Service Team Leader

Profile

1. Overall responsibility to manage the team reporting to this position, including continuous performance feedback, coaching and counselling to ensure ongoing improvement, bi-annual performance appraisals, payroll information compilation and submission, monthly/weekly team meetings, achieving employee morale survey targets, managing leave and absenteeism, implementing HR practices in line with company strategic objectives, and ensuring effective inter-departmental communication.
2. Carry out routine maintenance checks as directed, ensuring all necessary service parts are available prior to attending the customer's site, and liaising with the customer on quoted work.
3. Proceed to customer’s premises as advised, report to the customer’s contact, locate equipment, diagnose faults, inform the Service Coordinator and the customer of the approximate time of completion, and rectify any faults as required.
4. Provide technical assistance, coaching, and on-the-job training to all Field Service Team members, ensuring quality of service and addressing training needs.
5. Manage the team’s finances in line with budget and department strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with company policies and targets in areas such as work in progress, service scheduling, profitability, and management of overheads.
6. Ensure OHSACT requirements are met on own and customer premises, adhering to all regulations.
7. Drive customer service excellence by building strong relationships with internal and external customers and ensuring timely feedback and communication.
8. Focus team contributions on growing the department in line with company requirements.
9. Provide scheduled (monthly, weekly, and daily) ad-hoc reports as requested by the department manager.
10. Keep the Controller/Manager informed of team activities.
