Contributes to research, documentation, and promotion of traditional knowledge practices held by indigenous communities.
Coordinates project tasks and deliverable deadlines, with continuous interaction with the project leader, project team, community coordinators, and stakeholders.
Interacts with the community beneficiary while playing a role in activities that include education (e.g., training, awareness raising, capacity building), research (e.g., data collection for monitoring and evaluation), and support (e.g., communications and stakeholder database) to ensure the preservation and integration of Indigenous knowledge systems into broader development initiatives.
Facilitates community engagements.
Facilitates communication between the community beneficiary, including traditional leaders, knowledge holders, and the research team.
Monitors and reports research progress to the project leader.
Disseminates the generated knowledge through scientific presentations, publications, popular articles, and training events.
Assists in other projects within the Water Science Unit, when required.
