Civil Engineer / Technologist

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the implementation of water conservation and demand management initiatives.
2. Lead and manage a diverse team of civil technicians, field technicians, and support staff to ensure project success.
3. Develop and track project plans, timelines, and budgets for optimal efficiency.
4. Conduct in-depth assessments to identify potential water savings and enhance efficiency.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster alignment and teamwork across various projects.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills and performance.
7. Prepare and deliver technical reports, project documentation, and progress updates for senior management review.
8. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout all projects.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

1. Valid South African Driver’s License.
2. South African citizen or holder of a valid work permit for South Africa.
3. B Tech (Civil), B Eng (Civil), or B Sc Eng (Civil) from an accredited university.
4. Registered as a Candidate with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
5. Over 5 years of experience in municipal water projects, including water demand management, conservation, metering, and distribution.
6. Proven track record in managing engineering projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
7. Extensive knowledge of water conservation techniques, demand management strategies, and applicable regulations.
8. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
9. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
