A property company based in Alberton is seeking a skilled and experienced Debtors Clerk to join our team. This position involves managing the debtors for a large portfolio of residential units, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Communicating with tenants regarding outstanding payments.
Issuing letters of demand and following up on payment commitments.
Maintaining accurate records of feedback and actions taken.
Reporting delinquent debtors to the Credit Bureau.
Preparing cases for handover to attorneys or the Housing Tribunal for legal action.
Requirements
Matric qualification (essential).
Clean criminal record and good health.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Debtors Clerk in the property industry (advantageous).
Proficiency in MDA Property Systems (advantageous).
Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and email communication.
Ability to work under pressure, handle complex situations maturely, and meet deadlines.
A solid understanding of legal procedures related to handovers and evictions is highly beneficial.
