Delivery Driver: Code 10 (Cape Town) (Airport Industria)

The purpose of a Delivery Driver is to safely drive the assigned truck, conduct pre-inspection checks to ensure roadworthiness, verify and deliver goods accurately and on time, maintain effective communication, uphold safety and compliance standards, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to the efficient transportation of goods.

1. Keep accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, delivery receipts, and any incidents or accidents that occur during duties. These records should be maintained in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders. Address any concerns or questions related to the delivery process promptly and professionally.
3. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements of their assigned trucks. Communicate such issues to the appropriate personnel and follow the company's procedures for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
4. Adhere to all company policies, including those related to vehicle operation, safety, and code of conduct.
5. Comply with all relevant regulations, such as traffic laws.
6. Maintain a clean and organized truck: Keep assigned trucks clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary equipment and documents.
7. Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to mitigate potential risks.
8. Establish and foster a safe work environment and overall safety compliance.
9. Attend and participate in meetings and support the team in achieving the goals of the operation.
10. Attend coaching and training.
11. Contribute to the overall achievement of the team's goals.

1. Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
2. Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a similar position, with a preference for experience within the FMCG Retail industry.
