Position Summary:
As an Assistant Brand Manager for Purina, you will play a crucial role in supporting the brand management function for Purina's pet food products. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external agencies, you will contribute to driving brand growth and achieving business objectives.
As part of a small (seed) business unit, you will report directly to the Business Executive Officer and interact directly with regional teams.
A day in the life of an Assistant Brand Manager:
- Participate in the development of marketing plans, contributing to objectives, strategies, and tactics that align with the brand vision.
- Assist in the development and execution of promotional programs, events, and calendars.
- Analyze promotional programs and events to maximize effectiveness and efficiency, making ongoing recommendations for improvements.
- Track brand performance and analyze data to recommend changes and improvements based on business and competitive market analysis.
- Plan and execute digital and social strategies, collaborating with key stakeholders for alignment.
- Support product launches and marketing campaigns, coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets, and monitoring performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies and distributors to ensure effective execution of brand initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Manage brand assets and guidelines, maintaining consistency in brand messaging and visual identity.
- Track and analyze brand performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in brand management through attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in marketing or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of professional experience, with 1 year of experience in digital marketing and digital strategy.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative marketing strategies.
- Strong project management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Passion for pets.
- An understanding of the pet care industry is a plus.
