Through this acquisition, we are enhancing digital ticketing services and addressing the challenges of long-distance travel. We achieve this by developing advanced booking management systems for transport operators, offering tickets through our owned marketplaces, and integrating with major online distribution channels such as banks, telcos, and super apps. Operating across three countries, BuuPass South Africa has already sold over 100,000 tickets.
What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Marketing Manager to lead our B2C marketing initiatives, manage key marketing systems, and drive growth. The ideal candidate has experience in online marketing, understands our particular customer needs and market trends, and is adept at data-driven decision-making. They will work cross-functionally to create and implement marketing strategies, manage agencies and tools, and oversee both online and offline marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor strategies.
- Leverage related industry experience to refine marketing efforts.
- Develop and implement customer segmentation strategies to optimize targeting.
- Develop and execute a marketing plan for our direct to customer sales platforms (www.quickbus.com and www.justgo.co.za), including segmentation, budget allocation, and targeted campaigns.
- Align branding efforts across multiple channels and ensure synchronization of sub-brands.
- Lead social media and content marketing initiatives, including the creation and implementation of the 2025 content plan.
- Plan and execute offline marketing campaigns, possibly including event planning and in-market activations.
- Present and develop the monthly SA performance review templates for our B2C marketing channels.
- Assist in the development of dashboards for marketing analytics and reporting.
- Use marketing automation tools to enhance campaign efficiency, ROI, and audience engagement.
- Manage marketing tools and agencies, including Moengage, Velocity, and Infobip.
- Oversee and coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer experience teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Lead multiple projects and campaigns, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Function autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Work both remotely and in-office as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2C marketing, branding, and digital marketing.
- Strong background in social media, content management, and marketing automation.
- Experience managing marketing systems such as Moengage, Google Analytics, Infobip, or similar platforms.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Experience in working with digital agencies.
- Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple campaigns and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in event planning and offline marketing.
- Ability to work remotely and in-office as needed.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in data-driven marketing and performance analysis.
- Experience in the Travel/Tech space is a BONUS.
- Ability to create compelling presentations and reporting templates.
