Are you a meticulous and driven accounting professional seeking a dynamic role in a progressive firm?

We are a growing accounting practice based in Pretoria, offering comprehensive financial services to individuals, small businesses, and medium to large enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulations.
2. Conduct client meetings to discuss and finalize annual financial statements (AFS).
3. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes for management accounts preparation.
4. Perform bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolutions.
5. Ensure VAT compliance and processing in line with the VAT Act.
6. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate records.
7. Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance firm efficiency.
8. Analyze financial data and generate reports for management and clients.
9. Conduct ad hoc financial reporting and data collection as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and submit income tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals.
2. Complete and file provisional tax returns.
3. Submit VAT201, EMP201, and EMP501 reconciliations, as well as COIDA annual returns.
4. Handle SARS queries, including objections, appeals, waivers of penalties/interest, and suspension of payments.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree or Diploma in Accounting and Taxation.
2. Registered Tax Practitioner.
3. Minimum of 3 years in an accounting practice.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
5. Proficient in Draftworx, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
6. Extensive experience with SARS tax submissions and compliance.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple clients simultaneously.
