Job description
Leading Laboratory instrument supply company seeks a Field Service Technician
Responsibilities:
- Technical fault-finding and maintenance services on analytical and chemical laboratory instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings: mechanical, electronic, and flow systems.
- Quoting, ordering stock, writing technical reports, planning service trips including travel and accommodation for three months ahead.
- Breakdowns and problem solving on analytical and chemical laboratory instruments.
- Working with customer base to ensure good relationships are maintained.
- General administration and maintenance of customer database.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Must have excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English, written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office, and basic knowledge of networking.
- Own transport and valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in field service and exposure to laboratories would be advantageous.
