Software Developer (Medical)

Our client in the Medical Industry is looking to hire a Software Developer.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collaborate within a team of developers to deliver high quality and efficient solutions:
1. Developing new software applications based on software requirement specifications and coding standards.
2. Refactoring and enhancing existing software.
3. Providing production support in issue resolution and root cause analysis.
2. Analyse and provide solutions to complex tasks and projects, providing accurate and timely work break-down estimates for project tasks.
3. Participate in code reviews and internal testing to ensure the solution is of high standard. Work alongside Testers to test, debug and improve faulty application code, identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these issues.

Requirements

1. Experience as an intermediate / senior developer with between five and half (5 ½) and seven (7) years software development experience in:
1. 5+ years of development with C# .Net (strong requirement).
2. 3+ years working with JSON.
3. Entity Framework / Dapper (one or the other).
4. Mathematics at higher grade (minimum Matric level).
2. Beneficial:
1. AngularJS.
2. MVC and/or.

Skills

1. The ability to solve complex problems.
2. Great communication skills and a desire to collaborate with the team.
3. Strong experience in building web applications.
4. Experience in implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests.
5. Experience in branching version control and proficient understanding of TFS, Visual Studio and Jira.
6. Have a practical working knowledge of object-oriented design principles and common design patterns.
7. Familiarity with software requirements analysis and IT project management best practices.
8. Preferably from the financial, insurance or healthcare industry.
