CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
The Department of Human Movement Science is a well-established academic department housed in a new state-of-the-art building. It has a recognized Biokinetics and Sport Science Unit (BSSU) and is an integral part of the Madibaz High Performance Complex. The Department is looking for a qualified Biokineticist with in-depth knowledge in the field of Kinanthropometry, Evaluation Methods and/or Motor Development. The incumbent will be expected to facilitate and administer the learning of students in modules presented at undergraduate and postgraduate level, to do research, to contribute to community engagement, and to be involved in the core functions of the Department and the University.

Requirements
To be considered for appointment to this post, candidates must have the following:
Qualification
Be in possession of a Master’s degree in Human Movement Science (or equivalent).
Registration
Be a registered Biokineticist with the HPCSA.
Experience
Have two years’ experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry in the relevant field or two years’ teaching experience at university level.
Provide evidence of experience in clinical assessment and the utilization of specialized laboratory equipment in the field of Kinanthropometry and evaluation methods.
Research
The publication of a journal article(s) or a conference presentation would be a strong recommendation. An ISAK qualification level I or II would be an advantage.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and the public. Have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
