We are seeking a Recruitment Specialist, who needs to be energetic, enthusiastic and proactive in their work manner. The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and can exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achieving the goals of the company. This position is based in Airport City, Cape Town.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identify Recruitment Needs: Collaborate with department heads to determine staffing requirements.
2. Drafting Job Descriptions: Create clear and detailed job descriptions tailored to technical positions.
3. Sourcing Candidates: Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to find suitable candidates.
4. Screening and Interviews: Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interviews with line managers.
5. Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition.
6. Reference Checks: Perform thorough reference checks to validate candidate qualifications and experience.
7. Ensure compliance with employment and data protection related legal requirements.
8. Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
9. Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. A Diploma in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology is essential, a Degree would be advantageous.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR role which includes the full recruitment life cycle.
3. Experience in the aviation and engineering sector will be advantageous.

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Education: Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.

1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a recruitment role, preferably within the aviation or technical sectors.
2. Skills:

Strong understanding of recruitment processes.

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
3. Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools.
4. Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, and Word)
5. High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
6. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
