Head of Investment Operations

They are currently seeking a Head of Investment Operations to manage their day-to-day operations across South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. What you'll do:

As the Head of Investment Operations, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our client's business in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. You will work closely with other members of the global investment, operations, sales, software development and support teams. Your role will involve overseeing the effective design and implementation of all business processes, collaborating with the Investment Operations Manager to ensure operational efficiency, maintaining strict adherence to obligations within investment mandates, establishing strong relationships with representatives at investment platforms, overseeing the global compliance function, reviewing legal contracts when engaging with third parties, communicating complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, preparing costing information and analysis on team time expenditure monthly, providing detailed updates on key projects monthly, reporting on key developments within the Investment Operations team to the Joint-COO monthly.

• Oversee the effective design, implementation, and monitoring of all business processes.
• Collaborate with the Investment Operations Manager to ensure all operational processes are managed effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain strict adherence to obligations within investment mandates to effectively manage legal, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Establish strong relationships with representatives at investment platforms and closely monitor their execution processes to ensure accountability.
• Oversee the global compliance function to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
• Review legal contracts when engaging with third parties.
• Communicate complex financial concepts and strategies in a clear and concise manner.
• Prepare costing information and analysis on team time expenditure monthly.
• Provide detailed updates on key projects and other items to the business monthly.
• Report on key developments within the Investment Operations team to the Joint-COO monthly.
