Oversee, manage, and support a team of trainers across multiple locations and digital platforms.
Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring trainers are engaged, well-prepared, and aligned with SafetyCloud’s values and strategic goals.
Develop and implement training frameworks and best practices to enhance the skills and competencies of the training team.
Conduct trainer sign-offs, performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and facilitate professional development programs for trainers.
Ensure trainer certification and competency levels are maintained in line with OHS, SETA, and industry-specific training requirements.
Training Management:
Implement a process for continuous improvement in all phases of the training process.
Ensure training is delivered in line with SafetyCloud QMS, SETA, and regulatory requirements while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all training formats.
Management of all SAMTRAC processes.
Management of Exemptions.
Management of the RPL process.
Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training material remains current, relevant, and impactful.
Reporting:
Monitor and report on trainer productivity monthly.
Attend all meetings and adhere to all deadlines set out by Management.
Manage and monitor all priorities laid out on the necessary execution dashboards.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Stay updated with regulations and best practices to ensure full compliance in all training programs.
Ensure SafetyCloud’s training offerings meet the requirements of national and international safety training accreditation bodies where necessary.
Conduct compliance assessments to ensure that training materials and delivery methods align with our QMS system.
Work closely with legal, compliance, and quality assurance teams to address any concerns or updates.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of management experience in the learning and development space.
Proven track record in workforce management, performance evaluation, and team development particularly in an OHS driven environment.
Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation, and managing training operations.
Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, or safety requirements related to the industry, specifically SETA’s, QCTO and Department of Labour, Occupational Health and Safety Act & Mining regulations.
Relevant Bachelor's degree or relevant Diploma in Education with management experience.
Project management and Leadership training will be an advantage.
Certification in assessment and training methodologies.
