Sales & Projects Coordinator

Job Summary Statement

The incumbent will be responsible for directly coordinating sales activities. Perform coordination duties such as budgeting, accounting, quoting, expediting, and managing of Projects.

Key Performance Areas (duties & Responsibilities)

1. Provide an effective support function to the Automotive Commercial Manager.
2. Maintain and update the project prices and deliverables to the customer.
3. Ensure that proposals/tenders address the key issues and comply technically and commercially with the requirements of the enquiry.
4. Build and maintain good relationships with various external and internal stakeholders by communicating in an effective manner.
5. Visit and interact with contract customers on occasion.
6. Develop new business with project-related customers.

Academic Qualifications

1. Matric/Grade 12 qualification essential.
2. A tertiary qualification in related studies would be beneficial.

Experience

1. Sales and/or Marketing experience would be advantageous.
2. 4-7 years steel industry experience would be advantageous.
3. Experience in SAP Modules - Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, and Production Planning would be advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Must have sound working knowledge of MS Office and in particular a high level of competency in MS Excel.
2. Steel Product knowledge will be advantageous.
3. A working knowledge of how to interpret steel mill pricing will be advantageous.
4. Must have good numerical aptitude.
5. Excellent English communication skills are essential.
6. Excellent organizational skills are essential.
